Look what I found for $9.99 today at Whole Foods! 1 dozen long stemmed organic roses! I never hesitate to buy myself flowers. I try to put fresh flowers in the house at least once a week. I go for anything beautiful and most importantly.... on sale! Here are a few things my mother taught me about roses.
- Always cut rose stems on an angle under warm water.
- Make sure none of the rose leaves are submerged in the vase water. Rose leaves in the water will kill the roses! (Betcha didn't know that)!
- When you smell a rose don't let your nose hit it. The oil in your skin will brown the roses.
