Making Memories

Hi Everyone!
I know, I know, it's been a while. We've been busy over here with company, play dates, house hunting, and a few adult social outings too. Feels like life never slows down around here, but I'm not complaining
.
This little guy and I have been alone for a week. That's right, A WEEK ALONE! Okay, ALMOST a week. Now let's remember that Tommy is two and on top of that he's like a wild mustang that needs to run, and I mean run, so in order to keep my sanity intact while Michael was away we hit EVERY playground, farmers market, splash pad, and park in Orlando, and even hit the science center for the first time. Well, by day five the kid had worn me out and I was out of ideas and the solution was to do something I never thought I would do. I said,"Tommy, would you like to go to SHAKE SHACK?" To which he replied," SHAKE SHACK, SHAKE SHACK!!!!!!!!" This was all happening while he was jumping on the couch. Can't leave that out. Lots of jumping going on these days. He's a master jumper. Anyway, I'm a big time health conscious mom, but desperate times call for desperate measures, so into the car we went. We ordered a cheeseburger, fries with cheese and ketchup for dipping and a strawberry shake (his choice) and we sat outside on the lake in the beautiful sunshine. He kept saying,"Mmmmmm yum," with a smile from ear to ear, and I looked at his sweet face and I thought.... it's okay that we're eating junk food because we're making memories here! ( :  He had his first burger and fries with his mom and that's just the coolest and you know what? HE LOVED IT!
We face timed Dad, and fed some ducks and he sucked down that strawberry shake and that was that.
Well.... that wasn't really that. He jumped into the fountain on our way to the car, but that's okay, because we're making memories here.

Have a nice week!
