I have to be alone very often. I'd be quite happy if I spent from Saturday night to Monday morning alone in my apartment. That's how I refuel. ~Audrey Hepburn
From a very young age, I've needed my alone time. I would go through life observing others and baffled at their need for constant companionship. I definitely went through a stage where I thought..... maybe I'm weird. As I grew older and wiser I realized it was the best gift you could give yourself. Solitude, that is......
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy people and companionship, but I also enjoy time to myself. I don't do much. I'll read, clean, bake, call my mom, watch movies, relax, think, whatever!
My husband was away last week on business, and as much as I missed him, I was able to refuel. The alone time lets me focus on myself, which in turn helps me be a better wife. When he returns to me I am fresh and ready to go, and that's what he deserves.
Everyone needs and should have the luxury of a little solitude...... and
THAT'S my Wednesday Wisdom.
Have a great day everyone, and find a little time for some peace & solitude.

I love the quote!!
Take care and have a nice day :)
Oh how I could go for some solitude right about now
love the quote - and I totally know what you're writing about!! I'm the same way.
Lovely quote and photo of Audrey! I am the same way as you- I need my alone time. My boyfriend and I have been together 7 years, and as much as I love being around him, I love when he is out of town as well and I have nights to myself. Beautiful post, Lea! xo
What a gorgeous photo of Audrey and a great quote! Sometimes solitude is good, you can recollect your thoughts.
I love having me time very much. I think it's healthy and important to be left alone with your thoughts and emotions and recharge the batteries. Loving the photograph very much. x
I adore solitude. So good for the spirit.
Amen to all that! I am alone often and have learned so much about myself, what I like and what I don't like. I do some of the same things you do during my times of solitude and have come to learn that they make me just as happy as I am when I am with others...
