How I did it

I've been a bit of a blogger slacker for the past few weeks. The reason? I was getting ready for a showgirl gig. By getting ready, I mean rehearsing and trying to lose enough weight to not be completely embarrassed in my g-string and feathers, and I only had 10 days!
I must admit, it was much easier when I was in my 20's, but regardless, I had to get serious. Well..... I did it, and just because the gig is up, I'm not going to stop. It's not really rocket science. A little bit of discipline and an end goal is all it takes. So here's how I did it......

I think by now everyone knows I'm obsessed with Jennifer Aniston, so the first thing I did was hang this picture of Jennifer right on the front of my fridge! In my opinion she has the perfect "REAL" body. Everytime I thought about opening that fridge this picture reminded me that this bod was my ultimate goal!

Next? I skipped my nightly glass of wine and had water with lemon all day long. Lemon is a natural diuretic.
I also did a half hour of Mandy Ingbers YOGALOSOPHY DVD everyday. Lucky for me, my husband joined me. Mandy is Jennifer Anistons Yoga instructor and she is amazing! YOGALOSOPHY is a "Hybrid" yoga, meaning a series of traditional yoga poses with toning exersizes mixed in. Don't get me wrong, it's not the easiest yoga you've ever done but you immediattely feel stronger.

Aside from that, I lowered my carb intake (no I did not completely cut out carbs) and made my portions smaller. I lost 3 pounds in 10 days. Thats really not bad. It was just enough to flatten my stomach. I wasn't completely out of shape before, but I'm going to continue this way of life and hopefully lose another 5 lbs. to put me back at my "fighting dance weight!"

What are your secrets to dropping pounds fast. I'd LOVE to hear!

You look hot! And you're talented with a needle and thread too. I smiled at your Jennifer Aniston picture. As you know, she is a fashion inspiration for me too. When in San Fran in 2010 I took a photo of a billboard of that exact photo! One principal I've applied for a long time is to eliminate as many carbs as possible at dinner time for most nights. Unless doing a long exercise session the next morning we don't need to carbo load for energy to go to sleep.
