Weekend in Pic's

This weekend was another weekend of staying in with many projects to accomplish. We are on a major deadline to get this renovation done so my husband was nonstop working on that while I made us healthy snacks! This Caprese, almond stuffed olives and avocado was a healthy lunch 2 days in a row.

I managed to organize my make-up brushes in a vase full of coffee grinds thanks to this fabulous idea from Annemarie over at Brunch at Saks. Check out her blog. It's awesome!
I love this idea! I used Hazelnut beans (my favorite) and every once in a while I can smell the sweet aroma of those nutty beans!

I made these DELICIOUS Strawberry and Rosemary scones. They are seriously to die for! I got this yummy idea from Ashley over at Turquoise and Teale. Ashley took it one step furthur by shaping her scones into hearts. So cute! This is another blog you MUST check out!

Here is a "sneak peek" of our renovation. This is a stone wall Michael put up in our bathroom. Pics of the renovation coming very soon!

Another heathy weekend snack. Turkey, gouda, pita, hummus, almond stuffed olives and canalope and  strawberries. We are on a health kick. Hope it continues. Well..... except for a scone here and there!
What did you do this weekend?

Yum. Love your taste in food! Very exciting that your renovations are coming along! That is a nice idea for the makeup brushes, lovely scent and keeps the brush away from getting dirty on surfaces. I'm just out of the kitchen where I'm baking pumpkin muffins! x

Hi Lea! I just discovered your blog through Tiffany at Savor Home. I'm kind of dying to try that strawberry bruschetta - it looks sooo good! And your valentine's day menu was the cutest. Such a great idea!

I love the coffee grinds brush idea!

I also love the coffee grinds brush idea. The brushes look clean and organized instead of cluttered and the coffee beans would give a really nice aromatherapeutic pick-me-up in the morning while doing makeup!
